Guide for international students

The University's guide for international students provides practical information about living and studying in Freiburg, such as visas and resident registration, health insurance, and part-time employment.

Student Services SWFR (Studierendenwerk)

Student Services Freiburg (SWFR Studierendenwerk) also provides useful information about living and studying in Freiburg on its website, including information about health insurance, student jobs, studying with disabilities, child care, and University cafeterias ("Mensa" in German) and cafes. The organization's "International Club" offers a social mentoring program called the Buddy Club, designed to help international students build social networks and connect with local students.

Language courses and tandem partners

The University's Language Teaching Centre offers a wide range of language courses. Both the International Club and the Language Teaching Centre provide assistance to students searching for a tandem partner for language exchange.

Internships

Internships and job offers are regularly sent out to our Institute's mailing list. In addition, our students have access to the China Forum Freiburg's internship database (FWTM Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe GmbH). The website Sino-Jobs, a European-Chinese job portal, also posts announcements for jobs and internships.
